Oréll Talk, the innovative digital language laboratory for second/foreign language learning has been installed at Army Public School, Darjeeling, one among the public schools under AWES.
Premium edition (Oréll Talk-P2) of Oréll language lab was installed at APS by Mr. Abhinav, Technical Support Executive at Oréll. The language laboratory can be used by more than two hundred users at a time. The multimedia aided language learning helps the students to get a visual and sensorial experience that makes learning simple and permanent. The language head of the institution expressed his hope about the language laboratory and its top features which can bring great changes in the communicative skill of students. With Oréll language lab, the students of this public school will be able to enhance their language skill to advanced level focusing more on the pronunciation and usage of English in real-world situations.
Army Public School (APS) is a system of public schools established for imparting education to the children of the Indian armed forces personnel and is controlled by the Army Welfare Education Society. APS Sukna, Darjeeling, the erstwhile “Shishu Shiksha Kendra” was established as a pre-primary school on 07th September 1976. Gradually as it gained popularity, the need for expansion was felt and higher classes were added upto class VI and the school was renamed “Army School Khaprail”. The school was registered with AWES w.e.f. 01 April 1993 and Army School, Khaprail.
